Made from pasteurised cow's milk, this semi-firm Italian cheese has a delicate, nutty, sweet and mild flavour to it and it is very versatile. Fontal can be used in plenty of cold and hot dishes or as an everyday type of cheese.
Italian fontal can be recognised from its natural rind which turns tan to orange-brown as it matures. The interior is pale and punctured with holes throughout known as 'eyes'.
